The heart shape in the dating app logo was specifically chosen to convey its romantic
meaning.
Unlike a typical heart shape, it was designed to resemble a human heart,
emphasizing a deeper connection. Moreover, the folded shapes within the heartbeats
were strategically arranged to form the letter "S," symbolizing Somebody.
After analyzing the script of the Netflix drama 'Somebody,' Organized the elements that would be effectively showcased in the video then proposed motion graphics and wireframes accordingly.
The movie title and the dating app share the same name, 'Somebody.'
Designed the logo with a zoom in/out motion to emphasize on the splash screen.
Designed a motion where instead of moving the card up and down, it swipes diagonally to bring vibrancy to the "like" and "nope" actions on the profile. Furthermore, to enhance the dynamic experience, we incorporated a motion allowing users to rotate the card a full 360 degrees for added interactivity and engagement.
In the dating app's most crucial section, the matching screen, we placed a strong emphasis on showcasing romance. Designed an impactful effect where snowflakes sparkle and twinkle from above onto the card, creating a visually captivating and romantic atmosphere when a match occurs and the profiles merge.
The scenes of chatting and video calls are among the most frequently depicted scenes in movies, and our focus was on designing them with easily understandable and popular motions that resonate with the audience.
